2013 Marquise Vance Recruiting Update

SV Marshall High School's (Lexington, MS) Marquise Vance, a 6-5.5 forward, is one of the top players in Mississippi's class of 2013. Marquise talked with Scout.com/FOXSports about his overall game and how recruiting is going for him.

As a player, Vance says, "I can slash, shoot, post up, drive, anything on the floor. I rebound the ball pretty well and I use my length on defense."

He's still working on a couple of other areas of his game.

"I'm working on my dribbling and my consistency with my three-point shot," said Vance, who plays his AAU ball with the Jackson Tigers.

Although just now going into his junior season, Vance has already started generating recruiting interest from several colleges, including serious interest from one in-state school.

"Mississippi State is showing real interest," said the youngster. "And I've gotten a lot of letters from some other schools - UTEP, Southeastern, schools like that."

As for what he is looking for in a school, Vance likes the fast paced style of basketball.

"I'm looking for a school like Florida because I love the way they play," said Vance. "I like how fast paced they are, that they shoot the ball a lot and they go inside, out."
