"I am a penetrator and I love to push the ball," said Haynes. "I can shoot (from the outside) but I prefer going to the lane."
Although he can shoot from the outside, he realizes that is part of his game that needs improvement. That and his defensive play.
"Right now I am working on my jump shot and my defense," said Haynes. "When I'm at home I put on the weight vest and work out for about an hour and a half every day."
Quite a few colleges have taken an interest in the talented point guard.
"Georgia, Florida State, Clemson, Nebraska, Ole Miss, basically the SEC and ACC (are recruiting me)," said Haynes. "Just about everybody in the SEC except for Arkansas."
He's gotten scholarship offers from several colleges.
"I have offers from Georgia and UAB," said Haynes, who has also recently received an offer from East Carolina.
With three offers in hand, he's taking a wait and see approach before making his college choice.
"Right now I am wide open and looking at every college and trying to see which ones fit me the best," said Haynes.
As for what he is looking for in a college, there are a couple of things he wants.
"I'm looking for a college where I can get better (on the court) and at the same time get my education," said the 6-2, 715-pounder.
