"Last week I had about 75 yards on returns and about 50 yards receiving and a touchdown," said Brown. "We lost though and that's what matters most."
Fred is looking to widen his influence this week as the team looks to add one in the win column.
"They play more of a true cover one," said Brown of the Rams. "They like to put eight people in the box, so I feel like I can make some plays against their secondary.
"They look pretty good on film, so we will have to play hard."
Despite his team's 0-1 start, Brown remains optimistic about his team's chances this season.
"I feel like we can have a good season," said Fred. "We should be able to make some noise in the district this year."
With his college destination set for Starkville, Mississippi and Coach Dan Mullen's Bulldogs, Brown is settling in as a commitment to the Maroon and White.
"I have been talking with the coaches a lot," said Fred. "I talk some with Coach Knox and with Coach Mirando.
"They said they are excited about coming up there and they want me to stay in touch with them."
Brown plans to attend several of the Bulldogs' home games this fall and he plans to do a little recruiting of his own.
"I don't know a lot of people around here that they are still recruiting," explained Fred. "I am going to be telling everybody to go to Mississippi State though."
