CoachSpeak: Jordan on Siddoway

Charles Siddoway is set to sign with Mississippi State on Wednesday. The former California Golden Bear is headed to Starkville by way of Butte College. Coach Jeff Jordan has had the chance to coach the talented offensive tackle over the course of the last year and he is excited about Siddoway's long term potential.

"He committed to Mississippi State," said Jordan. "He took a visit to Pitt and he canceled a visit to West Virginia.

"He turned down offers from Iowa State, Texas Tech, San Diego State among many others."

Charles made the most of his time playing at Butte. The talented offensive tackle received several post season honors as well as the respect of his head coach.

"He was a heck of a player for us," explained Coach Jordan. "He was All-Conference, All Region and an All-American at tackle.

"As far as some of his attributes go, he can really run. He's an unbelievable athlete for a player his size."

Butte has cranked out some great players over the years and Coach Jordan believes Siddoway can be another successful football alum.

"Danny Watkins was a first round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles. Out of our place when he went to to Baylor and had a very good career," said Jordan.

"Charles can be that same type of player. He was the athleticism to play a long time.

"I hope he has a great spring and puts himself in a good position to compete in the SEC right away.

"He has the potential to be a very good player out there at Mississippi State."
