"Quinton is a good ball player. He's gotten a lot of publicity. He's got the height and good size. He's quick and has good speed. Because of his size, we shifted him around. He told me that Mississippi State wants to play him at corner, but we have him playing at Rover. We are doing that because we are so limited defensively. We can't do just anything. We have to be in Man Free or in a Cover Three Zone. Alabama has the big, tall quarterback (Jamarcus Russell) and seems to be throwing a lot. They are going three-wide a lot, so we are using him as an inside cover guy on the slot because of his size. With his speed, he can cover. There is no doubt that he can cover. If he needs to, he can come up and help us out on the run. I think he played more Free Safety at Provine (High School)."
Didn't he suffer a minor injury early this week?
"He took a little hit in the back early in the week. It's just a little bruise (hip pointer), nothing that will hamper him. He won't even know it's there Saturday night. He seems to be full speed right now."
Rickey Wright (6-foot-1, 190)
"We have him at corner. We worked him some at safety and it is possible we will use him some at safety. Rickey is quick. He has very quick feet. When we cover a man, he is going to have to be able to be quick enough to change directions. He is doing a pretty good job covering. He's doing a good job and we are glad he is with us.
"The way the rules are set up in this game, it is set up to favor the offense. It can get you in a bind. We can't rush but five players. The quarterback is going to have time to sit back there and pick apart (the defense). We are going to try to stay on the man and stay on them pretty tight."
