Has this been the first time that you've been with all these other MSU signees? If so, what is your impression of them?
"It's been fun being around them. We all laugh and joke around with each other. It's really been fun being around them."
What do you think about Omarr Conner?
"He's my roommate. It's been cool talking to Omarr. We've been talking about how we are going to State and win the SEC Championship and things like that."
What have the State coaches told you about what they expect from you this year?
"They sent a strength and conditioning packet that I am working on at school."
What are you going to bring to the MSU football team?
"I will bring speed, good hands and a couple of quick moves."
What position are they expecting you to play when you get to State?
"They are talking about wide receiver."
Is that a position that you would like to play?
Have they mentioned anything about you playing DB?
"Yes sir, as a cornerback."
Just curious, what was your last 40 speed?
"I ran a 4.47 the last time I did it."
Omarr Conner (Noxubee County HS, 6-foot-1, 205)
Just talk about meeting all the other MSU signees here.
"Since we have been down here at Mobile, all the State signees have been together and have been having fun together. We came down for mini-camp first and bonded so tight. Now, we are headed to Mississippi State and expect to win an SEC championship there. We are just like a big family already, Quinton, Donovan, Joey, Akeem, Rickey, Butler, Lance and Corey."
Has any one player surprised you after seeing him play this week?
"Everybody that is going to State with us is good. They are all that I expected. All of them have proven to me that they are warriors. They want to be Bulldogs."
You've gone against Quinton Culberson a few times. What is your impression of him?
"He is 6-2, 205. Quinton is good. He is cocky. We just go at it. We are just going to make each other better."
Have you gone one and one on him, yet?
What do you think about your offensive linemen Fremin and Davis?
"Big Donovan takes on two. He has good footwork and great hands. Lance is my center. He is great."
What are the MSU coaches telling you they expect from you this coming season?
"Right now, I see no redshirt. They aren't talking about a redshirt. But if a redshirt does come about, I'll take it. There is nothing wrong with learning. You learn, you play better. I'll learn playing behind Nelson (Aries) and (Kyle) York."
What are your expectations for MSU this year?
"The last two years we have been down in the SEC. Now, we are in the game. Right now, with the class that they brought in last year and us and our teammates, our goal is to make a difference and turn the program around."
