Gene's Page caught up with Dustin Wednesday night.

Dustin Lindsey and his identical twin, Jordin, are two of the most heavily recruited linebackers in the state of Alabama this year.

What's your forty speed?
"Mine is a 4.7 flat and my brother runs a 4.75."

What schools called you during the May evaluation period?
"Mississippi State, West Virginia, Florida State, Auburn, LSU, Michigan State and Middle Tennessee."

Did any of the schools offer you a scholarship?
"Yes, Mississippi State offered us and Florida State has."

Have any others offered?
"A lot of them are talking to us but none have given an offer."

How did Mississippi State and Florida State offer, over the phone or through the mail?
"Florida State talked to us over the phone and Mississippi State sent us a handwritten letter from a coach."

Who was the coach at Mississippi State that sent the letter?
"(OL) Coach (Steve) Campbell."

Have you grown up a fan of any particular school?
"We have always been Bama fans in my household."

Did your parents go to school there?
"They've just always been fans. Their whole family has always been fans. I guess we turned out to be Bama fans because of that."

I noticed that you didn't list Alabama as one of the schools that called you during May. Did they not call?
"No sir."

Have you gone to or are you going to any camps this summer?
"This summer we went to a Nike camp (at Auburn) a couple of weeks ago. Next weekend, I'm going to Alabama and in a few weeks I'm going to Mississippi State's. We are going to the Auburn camp again this year."

Do you have a list of favorite schools?
"I'll name a few for you. Mississippi State, Auburn, Alabama, LSU and Florida State, right now."

You've mentioned Mississippi State quite a bit. Did you know much about them prior to their coming in and offering you a scholarship?
"Mississippi State was one of the first ones to recruit us. They started talking to our coaches last year about us and sending us letters as soon as they could. I never really thought about them until then. I visited the school this past year and liked what I saw."

When did you visit them?
"It was during spring training for football. We went there and watched them practice. We went to the weight room and then went out and watched them practice for about an hour."

Thanks for talking with me, Dustin.
"Yes sir."
