Since his 8th grade season, West Bolivar (Rosedale, MS) High School class of 2013 running back Kailo Moore has been talked about by many recruiting observers as having the potential to be one of the top running backs to ever come out of the state of Mississippi. And the way his recruitment is currently going, college coaches seem to be agreeing with that assessement.

  • Name: Kailo Moore
  • Classification: 2013

  • Moore, one of the top running backs in the nation and very possibly the fastest, is receiving the type recruiting interest you would expect a running back of his caliber to receive.

"Pretty much everybody in the SEC is showing interest in me," said the 5-11, 185-pounder.

Three colleges have offered and a fourth may be in the very near future.

"I have offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Southern Miss and Vanderbilt," said Moore. "Alabama is showing me a lot of attention and I think they are going to offer soon."

Moore has attended a couple of Junior Days this spring but doesn't expect to attend any others.

"I've been to Junior Days at Ole Miss and Mississippi State but I probably won't go to any others because track season is about to start," said Moore.

Although still early in the recruiting process, Moore has five schools that he's most interested in at this point in time.

"The schools I like are Alabama, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and Tennessee," said Moore.

He talked about things he likes about each college.

Alabama - "I have been a fan of theirs ever since I have been playing football."

Mississippi State - "I like the whole coaching staff at Mississippi State and how the fans show me love."

Ole Miss - "I like Ole Miss because I have a history with (Ole Miss running backs) Coach (Derrick) Nix."

Vanderbilt - "I like their program and the way they run the ball."

Tennessee - "Tennessee has one of the biggest stadiums in the SEC. It holds 110,000 people. I also like that they have really big linemen who block really well. And the people there seem nice."
