Quick Hitter: OL Scott Quessenberry

The Encinitas (Calif.) La Costa Canyon offensive lineman, Scott Quessenberry, picked up his first Pac-12 offer...

Encinitas (Calif.) La Costa Canyon offensive lineman Scott Quessenberry had offers from around the country, but lacked one from the BCS conference closest to home.

That changed on Tuesday afternoon.

"Washington State offered me," said Quessenberry.

Quessenberry had a pair of Big Ten offers, from Wisconsin and Nebraska, and two schools that will be in the Big East by the time he gets into college, SMU and hometown San Diego State.

But the Cougars became the first Pac-12 program to offer.

"Coach Maguire offered me as an offensive lineman but didn't say what position," said Quessenberry.

Another Western program could be next as well.

"I'm supposed to get one from Nevada soon," said Quessenberry.
