  • Being selected to play in any all-star game is an honor but being selected to play in an all-star game that includes the best players in a state is even more unique. Thomas earned that honor with his selection to the Mississippi team that played in the Mississippi-Alabama all-star game in Montgomery, Alabama on March 16th. He talked about that honor and what it meant to him personally.

"It means a whole lot to me and I'm just glad to be here," said Thomas. "It's a great experience for me and the others. We just (wanted) to come here and play hard. All the practices we had this week were fun. We all had fun."

Thomas signed with Mississippi State during the early signing period. He talked about how the retirement of Mississippi State head men's basketball coach affects his decision to attend State.

"I've really thought about it and don't know why he is leaving, but I'm still going to Mississippi State, continue playing hard and get my degree," said Thomas.
