You were restricted during the spring due to an injury. Talk about that.
"During the fall, I broke my leg and dislocated my ankle. And around Christmas time I had gall bladder surgery. During that surgery, I lost a lost a lot of blood and was anemic for awhile. Because of that, they didn't let me do any weight lifting or running. That was during the time when I was supposed to be rehabing my leg, so that was postponed. It wasn't 100% during the spring, so they didn't want me to get out there and maybe have somebody fall on it and have me start all over again."
When were you able to rehab and are you now through with your rehab?
"I was rehabing during and a little bit before the spring. I'm still rehabing now. I'm doing pretty good. Just a little bit more work and I should be 100%."
Are you restricted at all?
"No, not right now. I strained my quad a little bit last week but that is getting better. That's about the only thing slowing me down right now."
You weigh 319. Do you want to stay at that weight or gain or lose?
"I want to get right around the 315 area. I want to get a little stronger and lose a little fat."
You were having a great season prior to getting injured last year. Are you chomping at the bit to play again after missing half the season and having to do so much rehab during the off-season?
"Yeah, I'm ready to come back and show that I can play. Some people think the ankle might slow me down, but it won't."
What does the doctor say about the ankle?
"He said I should make a 100% recovery."
