Claude Wroten Update

[Premium Article] Find out what Mississippi junior college player Claude Wroten (MDCC) had to say about his recruitment.

Claude Wroten, a 6-foot-3, 305-pound defensive tackle, plays for Mississippi Delta CC. He played high school ball at Bastrop (LA) High School.

Claude is one of the top defensive tackles in this year's junior college ranks. Using his quickness, strength and 4.9 speed to its fullest, he recorded over 80 tackles, including 3 sacks, his freshman season at MDCC.

One other thing makes Claude very attractive to colleges, he will be a December graduate.

"The coaches (at MDCC) told me that I would be more marketable if I go to summer school and graduate in December, so I decided to go ahead and go to summer school," said Claude.

Claude told me he has received scholarship offers from, "LSU, Florida, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Louisiana Tech, Tennessee, and many more."

When asked if he had a list of top schools, he said, "I have a top three, LSU, Florida and Mississippi State. Those are the only schools that I am interested in."

He explained the reason why he likes Mississippi State.

"I have talked to several coaches at Mississippi State," said Claude. "They made me feel comfortable. I like the defensive line coach, Coach Blake, and the other coaches there. I visited the campus a couple of times and liked it. I visited on Super Bulldog Weekend."
