Corey Smith Realizing His Dream

The recruiting saga of Corey Smith is coming to a close in an extremely positive fashion, and he will be signing with a Division-I college this winter. The East Mississippi Community College star discussed his recruitment in this video interview.

Two years ago, Akron Buchtel junior wide receiver Corey Smith was ruled ineligible by the Ohio High School Athletic Association, effectively ending his high school football career prior to his senior season.

The 6-foot, 180-pound, wide receiver spent the fall of 2010 at Grand Rapids Community College in Michigan. In early 2011, Smith transferred to East Mississippi Community College, where he is currently enrolled.

Smith will spend one more semester at EMCC before signing with a Division school and reporting to the college of his choice in January of 2013. Smith holds over 20 offers, including Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, and others.
