The first time I called you was before the spring evaluation period ended. What schools wound up calling you during the spring?
"Mississippi State and Alabama."
Have you received any additional interest from schools since you attended the Nike camp?
"Tennessee started sending some letters. And after you called me the first time, that's when Alabama started sending me letters and when they called me."
Have you gone to any other camps since you attended the Nike camp?
"Yes sir, I went to the Ole Miss Senior evaluation camp and the Alabama camp."
What did the coaches at Ole Miss and Alabama tell you that they liked about you?
"They all said I looked real good and moved real well. They said they liked that about me. I talked to (offensive line) Coach (John) Latina after the Ole Miss camp and asked him if there was anything that I could improve on. He said just stay in the weight room and try and bulk up. He said he liked how I moved. I talked to Alabama's offensive line coach after their camp. He said I looked real good. They both said the same thing. They felt that I would have a good senior year but that I needed to stand out really big because I'm from such a small school.
They mentioned how well you moved. What was your forty time at their camps?
"My forty time was a lot better than at the Nike Camp. I ran a 5.31 at Nike and a 5.16 at Ole Miss and a 5.2 at Alabama."
Your weight at the Nike Camp was 263. What was it at the Ole Miss and Alabama camps?
"At Ole Miss it was 265 and at Alabama it was 267."
Do you plan on going to any other camps this summer?
"Mississippi State. I had my eye on some others like Auburn and Florida but they didn't really work out due to money and time."
What kind of interest has Mississippi State shown in you?
"They called me during May and their coach, Ron Cooper, my recruiting coach, came and watched us practice."
What schools are you most interested in at this time?
"Ole Miss, Alabama, Mississippi State and Auburn and Florida. As of right now, those are my favorite schools based on their interest in me."
