Harlan is making the camp rounds the next couple of weeks and was on the campus of Mississippi State Wednesday. He came away impressed with the MSU camp.
"I liked that they worked on our mechanics and told us things that we need to work on," said the youngster. "I am going to take what they said and work on it."
Although he doesn't have an offer from Mississippi State, the MSU coaches told him they would be keeping an eye on him and might offer later.
"Kentucky, Cincinnati and Mississippi State appear to be the closest to offering me," said Harlan, who is also being recruited by Auburn and Tennessee. "(The Mississippi State coaches) told me that I need to be consistent, and if I'm consistent with my game, then I should receive an offer."
Harlan has two more camps he's attending the next seven days.
"I am going to Cincinnati's camp Saturday and Tennessee's (next) Wednesday,"said the young QB.
He explained the purpose of attending the camps.
"You go to the camps to show them that you can play at a top level and show them what you are capable of doing," said Harlan."
