A relative unknown among fans of recruiting, Crawford is not unknown among college coaches. The recruiting interest he is receiving and the large number of offers prove that.
"I am receiving a lot of interest right now," said Crawford. "Just to name a few - Kentucky, South Florida, Louisville, Missouri, Cincinnati, Marshall and a lot more. I have offers from all of those as well as FIU and Mississippi State."
He's making the camp rounds at the colleges that have offered him and was at Mississippi State Wednesday. He liked what he saw during the camp.
"I liked the coaches and the way they coached," said the youngster, who is being recruited by MSU tight ends coach Scott Sallach. "If you messed up, they got on you and told you what you did wrong and made sure you corrected it. That really helped me out a lot."
Mississippi State appeared to have made quite a recruiting impression on the youngster as well.
"I love it," said Crawford. "It is a great school, great coaches, great people. It's definitely a place I could see myself working and getting better and playing college ball at."
