Edwards has been traveling the college camp circuit the last few days. The latest camp he attended was Mississippi State. He talked about some things he enjoyed while at the camp.
"I liked the individual attention that we had during the position drills. I really liked that a lot," said Edwards. "Some things I learned was how to get off the ball quicker and getting my first step vertical instead of out."
Mississippi State defensive coordinator Chris Wilson had some encouraging words for the talented defensive lineman.
"Coach Wilson talked to me and said I listen well, take advice well and that I get off the ball quick," said Edwards.
Mississippi State is one of the new kids on the block when it comes to recruiting Edwards, who has several schools showing interest with some having already offered a scholarship.
"Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Purdue, UAB, Murray State and Middle Tennessee State are recruiting me," said Edwards. "I have offers from UAB, Middle Tennessee State and Murray State."
He doesn't take the offers lightly.
"It is a blessing for sure to have received offers," said Edwards. "It will help my momma out because she won't have to pay all that money to put me through school."
Up next for Edwards is another camp in Mississippi.
"I have gone to Middle Tennessee State, Tennessee, LSU, then came here (Mississippi State) from LSU, and Saturday I go to Southern Miss," said the youngster.
