Although it was the Mississippi State football camp he came to attend Friday, Austin also had a chance to see more of the campus during his visit.
"I learned a lot about their academics and what they can do academic-wise," said Austin. "I also learned a lot about their campus.
"As far as football-wise, they have five seniors leaving, so that will give me a good opportunity to come in here and start as a true freshman."
The coaches continued to be very impressed with what they saw from Austin.
"(The coaches) mostly like my height and speed and how I get off the line and catch the ball," said Austin, who ran a 4.4+ forty and had a 38+ vertical jump at the camp. "And how I am as an outside threat."
Austin has been to two camps, with a couple of more on his upcoming agenda.
"I went to the Alabama camp earlier in the week," said Austin. "I'm supposed to go to Ole Miss and South Alabama."
As of now, five schools are showing the most interest in him.
"Southern Miss, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech and LSU are recruiting me," said Austin.
He had three scholarship offers.
"I have offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Southern Miss," said Austin.
