Cronkrite, like his teammate, class of 2014 quarterback Hunter Boyett, is already receiving strong recruiting interest from several college programs in the south.

"UM (Miami, FL), Florida, FSU (Florida State), Georgia, and Mississippi State," said Cronkrite, when asked what schools are recruiting him.

Cronkrite, who plays running back and linebacker for head coach Sedrick Irvin, attended a camp at Mississippi State a few days ago and worked out at the running back position. Mississippi State running backs coach Greg Knox appeared to like what he saw from the talented youngster.

"The coach (at Mississippi State) said he liked my confidence and that I wasn't afraid of the bigger linebackers," said Cronkrite, who measured at 5-foot-11, 181 pounds at the MSU camp.

During the 2011 season, Cronkrite rushed for 218 yards on 38 attempts while catching 20 passes for 310 yards. He also returned 6 kickoffs for 358 yards, an average of almost 60 yards per return. On the defensive side of the ball he recorded 59 tackles (37 solo tackles), including 2 sacks.
