Wisconsin HS outfielder has Illinois offer

Burlington (WI) High School 2013 outfielder Grant Alderman has received an offer from Illinois, with several other schools also looking at him.

    Alderman talked about the schools currently recruiting him.

    "As of right now, I have an offer from the University of Illinois," he said. "I've also talked to Wake Forest, Purdue and Iowa."

    Alderman is looking to play baseball in the south if possible.

    "I'm typically looking down south, but really anywhere I can play is fine," he said.

    He described his game.

    "I play center field," said Alderman. "I have a pretty good arm. When it comes to hitting, I'm a pretty good hitter. I have been working on going to the opposite field more. I'm more of a pull hitter right now."

    Alderman and his Hitters Baseball teammates played in Memphis, Tennessee the past two weeks in the Keith Hagan Memorial All-American Tournament (wood bat) in front of numerous college coaches.
