Hymon recently played in the Nike Elite Youth Invitational in Augusta, Georgia for Team Thad. Numerous college coaches were attendance to watch Hymon and his teammates play. Many of the same schools that are showing interest in him were in attendance. Hymon named off most of the colleges that are recruiting him.
"Arkansas, Mississippi State, Memphis, Missouri, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, UMass, Murrah State, Kent State, Illinois and a couple of other schools are showing interest in me," he said.
Several of the schools have offered scholarships.
"I know Mississippi State, Missouri, Arkansas, Ole Miss have offered," said Hymon. "And there are plenty of others."
He's already visited one of the schools and plans on visiting others in the near future.
"I've taken an unofficial visit to Missouri and I plan on taking some others during school," said Hymon.
Hymon described his overall game, both on offense and on defense.
"Offensively, you will see someone with an energizing motor, a nice mid-range shot, offensive rebounding, playing well without the ball, and someone who helps his teammates get started," he said. "Defensively, you will see good defense, lots of rebounding and block shots, a high motor guy."
