Playing in the Nike Elite Youth Invitational in Augusta, Georgia this past week, Crute has generated interest from several colleges, including a few from both the SEC and the ACC.
"A lot of SEC schools are looking at me; Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Georgia," said the 6-foot-4 combo guard. "Some ACC schools are also looking at me; Georgia Tech, Clemson. UAB and Kennesaw State are also looking at me."
As of now, he has one scholarship offer, an offer that is very much appreciated by the talented guard.
"Kennesaw State has offered me," said Crute. "It's a good feeling to have an offer (this early in the recruiting process)."
The college he signs with will get a very team-oriented player who tries to put his teammates first.
"Offensively, I am a facilitator who tries to get his teammates open but at the same time I can also get my shot off and I can get to the basket," said the youngster. "Defensively, I have a lot of intensity and like to be a lockdown defender and block shots."
