"Georgia State, College of Charleston, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Boston University, UAB, Georgia and Ole Miss have offered," said Mitchell, who also mentioned that he is being "recruited by Georgia Tech, Miami (FL), Michigan, Tennessee, South Carolina, Wake Forest, Mississippi State and Clemson."
He's proud to have so many offers so early in the recruiting process but he's working hard to generate even more.
"I feel good about being offered," said Mitchell, who played with his AAU team, the Georgia Stars 16U team, at last week's Nike Elite Youth Invitational in Augusta, Georgia. "It doesn't put any pressure on me at all. It just makes me more hungry and makes me work even harder so I can receive even more offers."
More of a point guard than two-guard, Mitchell is trying to develop into an overall player, both offensively and defensively.
"Offensively, I shoot the ball well, create for my teammates, and just play overall good offense," he said. "Defensively, I'm a good help defender. I also try to take charges and try to block shots. I still need to work on my on-ball skills. That's the major thing I'm working on."
