Rated a three-star prospect by HoopGurlz, Montgomery is being recruited by numerous colleges.
"The University of Miami, Auburn University, Mississippi State, UCF, Alabama, UNC Charlotte, really a lot of schools are showing interest," said Montgomery. "The SEC, ACC and Big East are the main three conferences that are recruiting me right now."
She has several offers.
"I have offers from the University of Miami, UCF, Mississippi State, UNC Charlotte and a few others," she said. "I am blessed to have the offers that I do, but I'm trying to get more colleges to recruit me."
Montgomery described what colleges see when she's on the court.
"Offensively, I am a shooter but I can also attack the basket," she said. "Due to that, I have to make good decisions on when it's time to shoot or when it's time to pass or attack. But my main game is I'm a shooter.
"Defensively, I am long so I try to play aggressively and try to get steals and help my teammates when they need help. I just play hard and try to do whatever it takes to help my team win."
She recently played in the Basketball on the Bayou AAU tournament with one of the top AAU programs in the nation, Essence Purple. She talked about playing for Kimberly David-Powell, one of the top AAU coaches in the country.
"It's great playing for her," she said. "I've been with her since the 7th grade. You adjust to her because she will get on you but she only wants the best for you. She is so hard on us because she knows what we can do. But she is very loving as well."
While at the Basketball on the Bayou event, she played in front of 100s of college coaches. She described the experience of playing in front of so many college coaches.
"I try to show the (college coaches) what I can do, show them my all-around game," she said. "I just try to play hard and play up to my potential. If they like it, they like it, if they don't, they don't."
