MSU Commitment Scoreboard Update

The MSU commitment scoreboard update is a free feature available to all readers. Throughout the season, we will keep you up to date on how the Bulldogs of the future are doing in their final seasons before arriving in Starkville.

Chris Jones and Houston got their season off on the right foot as Houston (1-0) blasted South Pontotoc 47-13.

The Hilltoppers will host Calhoun City (1-0) next week.

Last season Bogue Chitto's Brandon Wells scored the winning touchdown in the final minute to win the Possum Bowl over Loyd Star 41-34.

No late heroics were needed last night as the Bobcats and Wells steamrolled Loyd Star 29-0 to keep the Possum Bowl trophy.

Bogue Chitto (1-0) will host Enterprise (0-0) next week.

Jake Thomas and Columbus picked up a nice win over Aberdeen 21-0.

The Falcons (1-0) will host West Point next Friday night.

It took an extra period, but Kailo Moore and West Bolivar knocked off Clarksdale 7-6.

The 2A defending state champion Eagles (1-0) will host Cleveland (1-0) in next week's action.

Jamaal Clayborn and Jackson Academy survived a struggle with Presbyterian Christian Thursday night 21-12 to get their title defense off on the right foot.

The Raiders (1-0) will travel to Northeast Lauderdale (1-0) next week.

For the fourth straight season Starkville High was unable to do much offensively against Noxubee County.

The Yellow Jackets fell to the visitors from Macon 29-8.

SHS (0-1) will look to get on track next week when they travel to Madison Central (0-1).

Kent Flowers and Hollandale Simmons (0-1) also suffered a season opening setback as Port Gibson roled 40-12.

Cleveland East Side (1-0) will serve as next week's opponent.

Deon Mix and South Panola will host West Point later today.

Scott Austin and Biloxi draw the defending 5A state champs, Picayune, in the Shrimp Bowl today.

All other Mississippi State commitments are still preparing for their season openers.

Ulric Jones and Trent Simpson will see their first action next week as Oxford hosts Oak Mountain.

Cord Sandberg and Manatee host Osceola next weekend in the season opener for both teams.

Shelby Christy and Dutchtown open up at Lutcher in two weeks.

Dezmond Harris and McAdory host Tarrant the same weekend.

B.J. Hammond and Gadsden City will travel to Florence High.

DeAndre Woods and Clay-Chalkville get their state title chase underway against Hewitt-Trussville.

Devante Scott and Co-Lin will travel to Northeast on August 30th.
