"The season is going really good for us," said Wells. "We're 3-0 and we've only given up one touchdown all year.
"We play Resurrection this week on Saturday and then we come back home and play Hinds (AHS).
"I feel like I am having a good season and I am having a lot of fun playing this year."
Wells has helped out at quarterback, wide receiver and defensive back this fall.
"I have been playing mainly on offense, but I have done pretty good at safety too," said Wells. "I am just happy the team is doing good, so I'll play whatever."
The versatile Wells reports that he continues to hear from other programs, but that he is in regular contact with his future coaches at Mississippi State.
"Alcorn just offered me recently and The Ragin Cajuns from Louisiana are always writing me," said Wells.
"I talk to Mississippi State two to three times a week. I talk with Coach (Chris) Wilson and Coach (Dan) Mullen a lot.
"They are always asking me about school and about the season."
Wells plans to have a face to face meeting with the Bulldog staff in the coming weeks.
"I haven't been up there to see a game this year," said Wells. "I have had to work both times and I didn't get to see them on TV.
"I am going up there for the South Alabama game and I am looking forward to that.
"The win over Auburn was big. A lot of people down here we're saying Auburn was going to win, but I stuck by my team and we won.
"I knew we we're going to beat Auburn. I wasn't really worried about it.
"We're going to win a lot more games this year and I expect some more big wins before the season is over."
