"I went to Mississippi State's game against Auburn," said Doss. "They wanted me to come to the game."
He enjoyed his time while at Mississippi State, although it wasn't his first time to attend an MSU game.
"I've been going to games at Mississippi State since I was a sophomore," said Doss, who is being recruited by MSU assistant coach Geoff Collins. "The visit went good. I liked the atmosphere, the SEC. They played a good game against Auburn."
As a quarterback, he liked what he saw from their offense.
"Offensively, they played in the spread and threw the ball," said Doss. "(MSU starting QB) Tyler Russell threw the ball well."
Mississippi State is just one of many schools that are showing interest in the talented quarterback.
"Vanderbilt has told me that I can come up there anytime that I want to," said Doss. "Kentucky is telling me that they want me to come up for a game. And Nebraska wants me to come up there, too.
"I also get a lot of letters from a lot of schools. I'm receiving letters from Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Nebraska. And Alabama and Georgia have also sent me a couple. Kentucky contacts me on Facebook. I also like Tennessee, Missouri and Ohio State."
He thinks two schools are close to offering.
"I think that Vanderbilt and (MIssissippi) State are close to offering," he said.
As of now, he doesn't favor one school over the other.
"I like all the schools that are recruiting me," said Doss.
