"I feel like I am better on offense right now," said Brewer. "I feel like I need to pick it up on defense and get better at safety.
"I like offense better, but I know I have to play both sides of the ball to help the team.
"I feel like I am an important part of the team, so I have to make plays.
"It's good for us to have Khaderal (Hodge) back. He's a big part of our offense and he gets the ball to other players down the field."
Brewer reports that he is often his own worst critic and that he can always find things to improve upon.
"I want to get better at my route running," said Brewer. "I just want to stay dedicated to the game of football, so I can reach all of my goals."
Brewer also plays basketball and runs track, but football appears to be his college ticket.
"I ran a 4.4 40 at Mississippi State and I have heard from them some, but it's nothing real personal yet," said Brewer. "I really like LSU and I had a good time at the camp.
"I am going to be interested in all of the schools that are interested in me."
