Williams pledges to TCU

TCU picked up their third 2013 prospect on Thursday. Michael Williams, a San Antonio native, made his college.

Michael Williams, a standout at San Antonio (Tex.) Reagan, made his college choice Thursday evening.

Williams became the third prospect in the 2013 to verbally pledge to Trent Johnson and his staff at TCU. Williams said the atmosphere at TCU especially stood out to him.

"The coaches and players created a family environment that was just awesome and the campus and people at the university are really nice," Williams said. "I'm excited."

Williams, who picked TCU over strong interest from Utah, Penn and Tulane, said his relationship with Johnson also stood out in his decision.

"It was great," Williams said. "He is easy to talk too and he is always there for his players."

To go with Williams, TCU also holds a pledge from top 100 prospect Karviar Shepherd and three-star recruit Brandon Parrish.
