Ready recently took his official visit to Mississippi State and came away even more impressed with the players and coaches.
"Actually, (the visit) was great because of all the players," he said. "The last time I went there it was an unofficial visit and all the players weren't there. Everybody was really psyched and ready for me to get there. They wanted me to come there now but I have to finish off this year."
What impressed him the most about the players was how they treated him.
"What I liked about the players is they didn't treat me like I wasn't already there or wasn't a part of them yet," said Ready. "They basically treated me like I was already one of them. They were all really cool guys and nobody really stayed away from the other guys. They were always together and bonded well together. They were like one big family. And I fit right in (with them)."
He was also very impressed with his future head coach and the entire Mississippi State coaching staff.
"(MSU Head) Coach (Rick) Ray is a straight up guy and he likes to go by the rules," said Ready. "He came from a smaller school and he had to work for everything he got. And me being a smaller guy coming from Arkansas, nothing was ever given to me either. With us both having to work hard, we bonded more. I also have a great bond with the entire coaching staff. They are all pretty cool."
He also feels he will fit into the type program that Coach Ray is building at Mississippi State.
"Everything they told me about the program was perfect to me," said Ready. "I will have to adjust to a few things when I get there because it will be new to me but it will all work out."
Although he continues to receive interest from other colleges, he only has interest in one school, Mississippi State.
"I haven't really looked at (other school) because I picked my school and I'm pretty loyal," said Ready. "Mississippi State came after me hard, so ever since I committed I haven't paid any attention to anything else. I don't even read letters from other schools. I'm solid with Mississippi State."
