"It was exciting from day one," said the still excited Coman. "They showed me love. I'm excited to go there. I can't wait to get there January 4th and start improving my game."
His player host was a player he already knew from last summer.
"(Redshirt freshman) Brandon Holloway was my player host," said Coman. "I had met him during the summer. We had already planned on going there together."
Although he had visited Mississippi State several times in the past, there was one particular thing that was new to him, the Mississippi State Leo Seal, Jr. Football Complex.
"I saw the new football facility for the first time," said Coman. "It is huge!"
Before he left his visit, he had a chance to sit down with head man Dan Mullen and talk about MSU's plans for him.
"Coach Mullen told me he doesn't know where he is going to play me," said Coman. "He just said I will either play corner or safety."
Either position is fine with Coman.
"It doesn't matter to me because I can play both," he said. "They look for me to play this year so I will be ready."
