CB David Kamara Profile
The coaches checked in on several prospects in Loganville, Ga., David Kamara, who caught up with CUTigers earlier this week.
Clemson's former cornerback pledge also had a recent conversation with Elliott.
"He was just making sure my grades were good and everything, trying to make sure I was eligible," Kamara said.
LSU, Maryland and Georgia have also been by Grayson within the last several days. Clemson coaches are scheduled to return later this week.
The three-star cornerback visited three schools earlier this fall -- Clemson, Ole Miss and Georgia. His trip to Clemson for the N.C. State game was just a few days after his decommitment from the Tigers went public.
"It was a good game. When I was up there, I got to talk to coach Elliott and all of the coaches. I didn't talk to coach [Dabo] Swinney," Kamara said. "The game atmosphere, it was fun and everything, just seeing them play."
What's been the message from the Clemson staff since his decommitment?
"I really haven't talked to them like that. Coach Elliott talked to me a little bit. He basically just said he wants me there."
His trips to Ole Miss were good experiences.
"The coaches were telling me they want me bad and how they're going to change their program and stuff like that, basically. It was real good, the atmosphere was nice, too," Kamara said.
No official visits have been set, but he's considering trips to Clemson, Ole Miss, Maryland and LSU.
As a senior, Kamara had 45 tackles, one interception, 12 pass breakups and two blocked field goals.
