Mississippi State offers Moe

2016 Forestview (Gastonia, NC) athlete Moe Neal got his first offer, and it's a big one...

Mississippi State is making a major mark with its 2016 recruiting class, and the Bulldogs are doing the damage in the state of North Carolina thus far.

"Coach (Tim) Brewster told us on the phone last night that Mississippi State would like for Moe to be a Dawg," said "Big Moe" Neal, father of athlete Moe Neal.

"I asked if that was an official offer and Coach Brewster said, 'Yes, Sir.'"

Moe is taking it in stride.

"He's excited but he is an even-keel kid who doesn't get overly excited about things," dad said. "He doesn't brag or really talk about accomplishments.

"Moe is even-keel across the board. His freshman season went good. He had 800 all-purpose yards with nine touchdowns: six receiving and three rushing."

Neal plays both slot and running back and is also "good on defense," according to his father.

Other schools of interest include North Carolina, Oregon, Ole Miss, North Carolina State, Kentucky, Charlotte and UAB.

Mississippi State already holds two verbals from 2016 prospects out of North Carolina: RB Robert Washington and WR Conner O'Donnell (both from SouthLake Christian Academy).
