Johnson recently attended a football combine in Birmingham, Alabama. He ranked 3rd among the sophomores attending the combine.
What was most impressive about him at the combine was his work ethic, something that Johnson takes a lot of pride in.
"When people watch me play, I hope they people see somebody who works hard and tries to get better on every play," he said.
Johnson believes hard work will help you achieve whatever goals you might have.
"I believe if I put my mind to it and work hard enough I can go anywhere I want too," he said.
His hard work has already paid huge dividends in the weight room.
"I just deadlifted 255, I last squatted 400 and I benched 285," said Johnson.
Recruiting-wise, he's already gotten the attention of one college.
"Ohio State has shown some interest in me," said Johnson. "After school one day my coach gave me the letter that they sent, wanting me to fill out my GP and how long I have been playing. It was really exciting. I showed it to my mom and she called the entire family."
Johnson is hopeful that Ohio State is the first of many colleges that will eventually show interest in him. He's going to do his part to help get his name out by attending as many college camps as possible.
"I want to go to the Alabama camp, really I want to go to any camp that I can just so I can get my name out there," he said.
