VISALIA, CA -- UCLA-bound defensive tackle Kenneth Clark was a man amongst boys at Saturday's Cal State Game. Representing the South, the six-foot-2, 285-pound defensive tackle's mass tore through the North's offensive line like it was made of tin foil.
"He just sucks up blockers," said Arizona State linebacker commit
Alani Latu, who teamed with Clark in the South's 19-14 victory
Saturday. "He made my job a lot easier."
Well before the game was complete, Clark was commanding double teams
in the Mineral King Bowl mud, terrorizing the backfield and the
North's inside running game. There's some beef coming to Westwood at
a spot where the Bruins have needed it: the interior line.
Clark is excited to bring his strength to the Pac-12, a conference
which he says is on the upswing.
"Everyone's getting bigger," he said. "So now I have to add on more
bulk, and work even harder to play as a true freshman."
Clark says the UCLA coaching staff loves the fact that he'll be
wrestling again for Rialto's Carter High School this winter. He says

fellow large defensive tackles.
"I'm aggressive. I hit hard," said "I like to be able to keep
Maintained family proximity is appealing moving forward: Clark's
Rialto home is only about an hour away from UCLA's campus and even
closer to the Rose Bowl, where the Bruins play their home games.
He'll be the first member of his family to play a Division 1 college
sport since one of his great uncles did decades ago, so expect the
Clark clan to be in the stands on a weekly basis.
Clark has been impressed with UCLA's dramatic improvement this
season. His 3.8 GPA this year and keen interest in a kiniesiology
major have helped the good feelings go both ways.
"They seem really fired up to have me," he said. "My family is
