WR James Clark Profile
The Tigers' recruiting coordinator/wide receivers coach caught up with New Smyrna Beach High School senior wide receiver James Clark.
"They hadn't talked to me since the spring, so I was kind of surprised when I got to the phone call on Friday," Clark told CUTigers on Sunday.
"He told me he was in Orlando and he wanted to stop by and see me."
What was the message from Scott?
"He let me know about the situation...so he let me know that I'm the next guy on the list."
Clark owns a number of offers, including Florida, Auburn, Miami, Mississippi State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Purdue, Tennessee and West Virginia.
Purdue and Northwestern hosted him for official visits during the fall. Nebraska will host him for an official next weekend.
Clemson will host Clark for an official visit the following weekend.
On Monday morning, Clark informed CUTigers that his top four includes Clemson, Florida, Nebraska and Northwestern.
As a senior, Clark had 49 catches for 1,112 yards and 10 touchdowns.
