Big News Coming?

What began as a conversation between two long time friends, may become a life changing moment for three star defensive back Jahmere Irvin-Sills After his high school coach shared is name with Mississippi State assistant Tim Brewster just days ago, Irvin-Sills boarded a plan for Mississippi. After a weekend in Starkville, Irvin-Sills may be making several return trips.

"I had a great visit," said Irvin-Sills. "I had never been there before and I was real impressed with everything.

"I got to meet all of the coaches and some of the players.

"Jay Hughes was my host and he's a real cool guy."

Irvin-Sills reports that the guided tour of the Bulldog football facilities was one of the highlights of the visit.

"I got to see the campus and all of the facilities," said Irvin-Sills. "The new weight room is really nice.

"I was impressed with all of the facilities. They have a lot of new things there."

Before heading for home, Irvin-Sills had the chance to speak with Coach Dan Mullen and his staff about the possibility of becoming a Bulldog.

"They told me that they wanted me to go home and be sure about everything before I committed," said Irvin-Sills. "They want me to talk with my family and call them back in the morning."

The Maryland native had talked about a signing day decision, but those plans my be changing.

"I am not sure I am going to take any more visits now that I have been to Mississippi State," said Irvin-Sills. "I think that might end up being my new home.

"I might go there and see if I can't bring another Thorpe to Mississippi State like Johnthan Banks did.

"He's graduating and going to the NFL. I think I can go in there and fill those shoes."
