Consistency stands out with Priester

The third time may be the charm for Kyrin Priester and if so, the Clemson Tigers will get themselves some one they can rely on at wide receiver.

Kyrin Priester committed to Georgia, then opened things back up. He then committed to North Carolina State, but on Sunday, he switched his commitment to Clemson.

Priester is a 6-foot-1, 195 pound wideout from Brookwood High School in Snellville, Ga. and he could really help the Tigers.

Here is a breakdown of Priester:

  • Consistency
  • Hands
  • Strength
  • Attacking the ball
  • Catching the ball in traffic

    Needs Improvement

  • Speed
  • Cuts out of breaks
  • Separation

    Scouting Report

There is a lot to like about Priester, but the things that always stands out is his consistency. He does not drop passes, he is very reliable, he is a go-to type of receiver, and he is a quarterback favorite. He is not a burner and he has struggled to get separation against top corners down the field, but when the ball is thrown in his direction, he goes and gets it. He can catch it across the middle, he can go up and make the play at the high point, he can catch the ball against tough coverage, and he is strong off the line of scrimmage because of his strength. He is a physical wideout and as he improves his hips and his route running, he could become more explosive out of his breaks. Scout expects Priester to fit in well at Clemson and to be very productive over his time there.

Priester is the No. 49 receiver in the country on Scout.
