"People keep coming at me with these questions about what I liked most about Mississippi State," said Wilson. "I just had a great relationship with Coach Brewster.
"Mississippi State has been #1 on my list and that was where I planned on going."
Wilson reports that his official visit removed any doubts he had in his head.
"I knew on my official visit to Mississippi State that I needed to go there," said Wilson. "I like the coaches and all of the players.
"They really wanted me to come there and Coach Brewster told me that they don't have anybody like me over there."
While Wilson was high on the Bulldogs, he was not quite ready to pull the trigger on his commitment.
"I said that I wanted to wait to commit when they all came to my house, so we could talk about everything with my family," said Wilson. "They are coming to see me play basketball tonight, so I decided that now was the time to do it."
Wilson's plan was to announce his decision during tonight's home basketball game, but the news leaked out earlier today.
"I am still excited about everything," said Wilson. "I am happy that everything is over with now.
"I am just getting ready to play. I am planning on coming in right away and making plays.
"I am already getting my mind on Oklahoma State, the first game of the season."
Wilson chose the Bulldogs over offers from Auburn, Cincinnati, Louisville and UAB among others.
