Colleges throughout the nation are showing interest in the talented junior catcher.
"Colleges that are looking at me include Mississippi State, LSU, Alabama, Stanford, Memphis, Louisiana Lafayette, Northwestern, Virginia Tech and Missouri," said Chase.
Although just now going into his junior season of baseball, Chase has already narrowed his list down to three colleges.
"I've narrowed my schools down to three, LSU, Alabama and Mississippi State," said Chase, who has either officially visited or camped at two of the three, Mississippi State and LSU.
He talked about the things that he likes about each college.
LSU - "I like LSU because they are closer to home and have that home atmosphere. I could see myself going to LSU because they have great coaches."
Mississippi State - "When I came to Mississippi State Thanksgiving I fell in love with the campus. And they have a great coaching staff and great chemistry with the players. I love the coaches at Mississippi State, all of them."
Alabama - "It's the same thing with Alabama, great coaches and great chemistry. The coaches at Alabama are great coaches who do whatever it takes to win."
Chase talks about what he brings to the table, both offensively and defensively.
"Offensively, I do whatever it takes to get the run in and do whatever it takes to win. I hit with power and have a little bit of speed. I'm more of a power-gap hitter. Defensively, I try to be a Bulldog and not let the ball get passed me. I try to throw out everybody that I can. And I also try to be a great leader."
