DB Ryan Carter Profile
CUTigers caught up with Ryan Carter on Friday, before he began his official visit at Clemson.
"I just want to see how the coaches talk to me. It's going to be my first up there all weekend. I've been up there a couple of times for games. I'm curious to see what they have to say," Carter said.
Clemson running backs coach Tony Elliott has remained in contact with Carter.
"He's come by the school a couple of times in the last couple of weeks. He's just been talking to me, telling me to keep my grades. He just talked to me about taking an official this weekend," Carter said.
This will be the first official visit for Carter, who had originally planned to visit Indiana this weekend. That trip could be rescheduled for next weekend.
The two-star defensive back has offers from East Carolina and Ole Miss. He's had recent contact with Penn State, Missouri and Indiana.
Carter is optimistic about the chances of receiving an offer from Clemson.
"I think they're high," he said. "I feel like, since they've been talking to me for a while now. I think they need me to come in and help with their secondary. I think it could be high that they could offer me this weekend."
As a senior, Carter had 70 tackles and four interceptions, two of which went for touchdowns.
