Hammond is at Home

Gadsden City wide out B.J. Hammond reports that his weekend at Mississippi State could not have gone much better. The talented Hammond had the chance to spend some quality times with his future teammates and coaches as part of his official visit to Starkville this weekend.

"Man, I had a great time," said Hammond. "I really had a lot of fun.

"I got to meet all of my teammates and just get to know all of them.

"Joe Morrow was my host and I love that dude. He has a lot of personality like me and he likes to have a good time like me.

"We had so much fun hanging out with him. I know we're going tobe good friends when I get up there."

Hammond reports that his time on campus allowed him to become more acquainted with his future surroudings.

"I didn't really learn anything new, but the new Seal facility is unbelievable," said Hammond. "I loved everything about it.

"Everything in there is so nice and I haven't seen anything else like that at the colleges I have been to."

Before leaving for home, Hammond was able to meet with Top Dawg Dan Mullen and wide receivers coach Tim Brewster.

"Our meeting went good," said Hammond. "Coach Mullen wanted to know if I was still 100% loyal to Mississippi State with my commitment and if I was ready to work.

"I told him that I was 100% solid and ready to be a Bulldog.

"All I know is hard work from high school, so I am ready to get up there and get to work at Mississippi State.

"I am just counting down the days til signing day when I can put my pen on the paper.

"I am ready to get to Mississippi State and get the Bulldogs to the top."
