As a sophomore, Josh Bolar saw time on the defensive line, as a defensive tackle and defensive end. At 5-foot-11 and 230 pounds, Bolar is working to transition positions this fall at Fayette County High School (GA).
"I'm working to cut bad weight before this season," Bolar explained. "I'd like to get down to about 215 pounds."
While working to improve his strength and speed, Bolar plans to make camp rounds this summer.
"I haven't been to any camps yet, so I plan on hitting the road this summer," Bolar explained. "I'd like to visit Clemson, Ohio State, Florida and Georgia. I would also like to make it out to UCLA. I will also consider attending camp at Ole Miss, Mississippi State and LSU."
Bolar feels that his spring and summer workouts combined with his continued growth will help in his desired classification as an athlete.
"Growing up, I've studied football," Bolar said of his game. "One day, I want to work [as an analyst]. I study the game. I choose schools based on coaching staffs and their will to win."
"I am working my way toward becoming a better leader," Bolar said. "I want to help push people to be better. Academically, I want to make sure that my grades are together so I can help others. I want to help us excel as a football team, rather as individuals."
