This weekend, 2014 RB Sedrick Palmer took his first unofficial visit to the University of Tennessee.
While on campus, Palmer learned of his first official SEC offer from Vanderbilt.
"I didn't put two and two together until I got on Twitter and saw the two fan bases going at each other about me," Palmer said with a laugh. "It's my first offer, so it was a lot to take in while I was on another visit."
As for his trip to Knoxville, Palmer says it was amazing.
"It was snowing when we got there," Palmer said of the trip. "I love snow. It's such a beautiful city."
At Tennessee, Palmer was able to tour the facilities and take in the campus.
"I went on a tour and it was amazing," he said. "The football facilities are state-of-the-art. I don't think I'll see anything better anywhere else."
Because he was late to accept his invitation to unofficially visit, Palmer says the coaching staff learned the most about him while he was on Tennessee's campus.
"Before leaving, I talked to Coach [Butch] Jones," Palmer explained. "The coaching staff actually watched my film while I was on my visit and they all liked it. Under the new coaching regime, it seems they are very excited about me.
"Coach Jones is a cool dude," Palmer continued. "I can tell he's all about family and I'm a family person. I was attracted to that quickly."
As for Vanderbilt, Palmer plans to take an unofficial visit as soon as possible.
"I am just very appreciative of the offer," Palmer said. "I haven't even gone to the school yet, so I'm sure I'll do that very soon."
