Alexander headed to Clemson

Mackensie Alexander will play college football in the ACC.

Four-star Immokalee (Fla.) cornerback Mackensie Alexander will head out-of-state to play college football.

"My four years will be at the University of Clemson," said Alexander on ESPNU.

The Clemson coaching staff was one of the main reasons Alexander chose the Tigers.

Dabo Swinney, he's a good guy," said Alexander, who chose Clemson over Auburn and Mississippi State. "He's a church guy like me. He made it from the bottom to the top."

"His staff coach – Coach (Brent) Venables and Coach (Mike) Reed – I trust those guys. I'm going to be in a great position."

Alexander is a four-star prospect and the 7th-ranked cornerback in the country.
