Lenny Broyles travelled to Austin Peay last weekend for their Junior Day and had a very productive trip. The 6-foot-2, 270-pound tackle was very pleased with the outcome of the trip.
"I had a nice visit at Austin Peay last week," he said. "I talked to the coaches and a few players. They made me feel welcomed. I spent most of my time talking to coach Donohoe. He told me how they will use me in their scheme and what I can expect," he continued.
Broyles was also impressed with the scenery on the campus. Austin Peay is making some big changes and Broyles took notice.
"I was impressed with the new football stadium they're building after this season. I also noticed all the new dorms and other features they were building on campus," he said.
But the main thing was that Broyles picked up his first scholarship offer while on the Governors' campus.
"I enjoyed my visit to Austin Peay and left there with an offer on the table. That let me know how highly they thought of me, to offer this early. When the new head coach is named, I'll sit down with my family and decide if this program and coaching staff is the right place for me," he said.
A couple of more OVC programs have began to reach out to Broyles recently as well.
"I've also been hearing from SEMO and Eastern Kentucky," he finished.
