New UGA target to visit Athens

Georgia's Chris Wilson spent some time on the road Thursday and he took a look at an elite offensive tackle and offered him later in the day. This OL will now check out Athens...

"Coach [Chris] Wilson came by the school today and my coach told me to call him. I called him and he told me that Georgia wanted me and that is how I found out about the Georgia offer," Drew Richmond told Scout.

It seems like everyone that sees the 6-foot-5, 306 pound offensive tackle out of Memphis University School in Tennessee offers him. The 2015 OL now has nine scholarship offers.

He already knows a little about the Dawgs.

"They have a great culture around their campus and they do not discriminate against age either. Georgia believes in playing the best players and I like that. I saw them play John Theus and other true freshmen last year. I know it is a great academic school too."

Richmond will be in Knoxville this weekend to visit Tennessee, another SEC East school, but now that UGA has offered, he plans to get down to Athens too.

"I will visit Georgia this summer for sure," he said.

Scout projects Richmond to be one of the top offensive tackles in the 2015 class. He currently has no favorites.
