"It was a great experience working with (MSU linebacker) Coach (Geoff) Collins," said Moore. "I wanted to get up here and make a statement. This is one school that hasn't offered yet, but I would like to be up here."
And he did that from the get-go when he ran his forty and did his vertical jump.
"My vertical was a 37.9 and I was told that my forty-yard dash was a 4.28," said Moore, who normally runs in the low 4.3s.
He also did well in the one-on-ones.
"Basically, it is all about the ball and I got two interceptions today," said Moore. "I wanted to show the coach that I have the effort."
And it appears Coach Collins liked what he saw from Moore.
"(Coach Collins) was coaching me up and giving me tips," said Moore. "He liked my speed, my physically and my work ethic."
Collins is just one of several college coaches who like what they have seen from the fast linebacker.
"Mississippi State is showing interest, I also have Louisiana Lafayette, Arkansas Razorbacks and the Tennessee Volunteers," said Moore.
Four other schools have offered the talented linebacker.
"Ole Miss, Louisiana Tech, the University of Monroe and Southern Miss have offered," said Moore.
He has another camp scheduled for Friday.
"I will camp at Ole Miss (Friday)," said Moore.
As for where Mississippi State stands in regard to his recruitment, they made quite an impression during the camp.
"They are a great school and it's mostly about the academics with them," said Moore. "They are pretty serious about the academics. That's what I like. It's student first, athlete second. And the facilities are great, the coaching staff is great.
"I just love the place."
Keep it on Scout.com and GenesPage as we continue to follow the recruitment of this very talented member of the class of 2014.
