2016 QB Receives Big Offer Today

2016 G.W. Carver High School (Columbus, GA) quarterback Jawon Pass received an offer from Mississippi State today.

  • Pass camped at Mississippi State Monday and enjoyed his time during the camp.

    "It was a great experience," he said. "I liked everything about it. And I learned a lot at the camp. (The quarterback coach Les Koenning) showed me a lot of things and helped me out a lot. He seemed like a good coach. He is going to make sure you know what to do."

    In addition to learning a lot while at the camp, he also is going home with his second scholarship offer.

    "Mississippi State and North Carolina have offered," said Pass. "I received the offer from Mississippi State today. It was a little surprising but I kind of expected it because they like me a lot."

    It was very exciting to receive the offer.

    "I was excited about the offer because (head coach Dan Mullen) personally told me about it," said Pass.

    He came away impressed with Mullen after talking to him during the camp.

    "He seems like a good coach," said Pass. "He said he's put a lot of guys in the NFL."

    Mississippi State is now strongly on Pass' recruiting radar screen thanks to the offer.

    "It is a good school with a good environment," he said. "I liked the facilities. I'm going to consider coming here."

    Mississippi State is one of four schools showing interest in the talented 2016 QB.

    "Auburn, Alabama, North Carolina and Mississippi State are showing interest in me." said Pass.
