MSU Camp: Kevin Marion

Kevin Marion is a name on the rise. The 6-4, 200 pound X receiver prospect has the raw materials to be a very good college football player. Marion is making the college camp rounds this summer in an effort to jump start his college recruitment. The talented junior to be recently camped at Mississippi State where FOXSportsNext caught up with him for an update.

"It was a really good experience," said Marion of his time at Mississippi State. "This was my first time getting into a camp and I liked it."

Marion has the athleticism to be a real threat on the college level.

The rising junior had the chance to work first hand with Bulldog receiver coach Billy Gonzales who has coached some of the top receivers in the southeastern conference over the course of the past several years.

"I didn't get to have a long talk with him, but we talked some here and there," said Marion. "He told me that I did a good job and that he liked how I played.

"I did talk to Coach (Les) Koenning some and I was able to introduce myself to him."

Marion has plans to attend camps at Alabama, Louisiana Tech and UAB over the course of the summer as he prepares to lead Spanish Fort to another big season this fall.

"I had a good spring and I feel like the team looked good," said Marion. "We still have a lot of work to do, but we will be there by the fall."
